Futurismic's a reasonably well-known site, so a response here is suprising, but my piddling LJ is definitely off the beaten path, so my guess is that this is a marketing effort targeted by using the trackbacks from the articles themselves. Amazon doesn't display theirs, so I'm guessing it's a cooperative effort with the publisher.
