Using fluctuations in physiological reactions such as heart rate, breathing, body temperature, etc. to draw conclusions about a person's level of aggression has always been ill-advised, simply because fear and panic produce the same reactions, or similar enough that one cannot reliably differentiate. Which is why polygraph ("lie detector") evidence is not admissable as evidence in a court trial. Whoever wrote the italicised section for the BBC is a journalist, not an expert in the field. Beware the "CSI" effect. Having said that, we are still strolling nonchalantly towards computer-assisted fascism. We will NEVER be able to read a person’s mind!
