Using fluctuations in physiological reactions such as heart rate, breathing, body temperature, etc. to draw conclusions about a person&#039;s level of aggression has always been ill-advised, simply because fear and panic produce the same reactions, or similar enough that one cannot reliably differentiate.

Which is why polygraph (&quot;lie detector&quot;) evidence is not admissable as evidence in a court trial.

Whoever wrote the italicised section for the BBC is a journalist, not an expert in the field.
Beware the &quot;CSI&quot; effect.

Having said that, we are still strolling nonchalantly towards computer-assisted fascism.</description>
