Jct: A demurrage negative feedback that changes the value of the token is unnecessary and stupid though knowing your money is losing its value does force you to spend it.
It's far smarter to supply tokens that do not change in value in sufficient supply to maximize trade. There is nothing wrong with saving for a rainy day and the whip to spend is completely bad banking systems engineering. Positive feedback on debt is usury, negative feedback unnecessary while zero feedback on our poker chips is perfect.
We need the United Nations Millennium Declaration Resolution C6 to governments for a time-based currency to restructure the global financial architecture. Barter Timebanks are economic lifeboats.
See my channel http://youtube.com/kingofthepaupers with index of topics at http://johnturmel.com/kotp.htm for explanations of how Provincial Governors in Argentina used small denomination state bonds as currency to pay employees which worked marvelously.

Actually, this method is good. What it proposes to do is increase the velocity of money. It has worked twice in the last 30 years. In the early 80's Reagan and Volker used fiscal policy to crash velocity of money from 20+ to 6-8. It took forever to recover. This time the velocity of money has crashed by Bank incompetence. Can anybody remember seeing the value for Velocity of Money being made public in the last 20 or so years? I google regularly with no luck.
