Well, I do know, from my time in industry, that there are feasible proposals for doing on-orbit clean-ups. However, they’re expensive, and no one is willing to foot the bill. Also, so far various companies/governments haven’t been willing to band together to foot the bill, although that seems the obvious way to go.

They’ll need to do something about this eventually, and I have to say it’s a project I’d love to work on.
