If death is taken out of the equation, that problem will be made worse by an order of magnitude. It doesn't matter how smart we become due to increased lifespans, you can only stack up so many people before it becomes very uncomfortable. And if we no longer have to worry about aging stealing the best minds among us just when they're getting the experience that they need to solve the big problems, we might be able to come up with workable solutions to the 'expanding' problems as well.
