I quite like the look of it. Android is a good step. Not convinced about the E-Ink display that everyone uses for these devices. Shame everyone wants their own store as well (well, unless they're all open).

Still, if ebooks are cheaper (if!) how long until I make a saving that pays for an ebook reader? Quite a long time probably.

I've been reading all kinds of stuff on my PC's for years. I've also read books on my old Palm 3 and on my iPhone 3G. I'm not too fond of reading on the iPhone because a) it's too small and, b) I get thumb cramps.

The Nook sounds like it's as good as eReaders have gotten. But, I still cannot understand why no one has been able to develop a high quality reader for less than $100. Charge a little more for connectivity and keep it multi-format.

I'm getting more and more accepting of e-reading technology. One of my friends recently picked up the Sony version and I must admit the screen is very easy to read. It's sleek and has a large battery life and he is currently using Project Gutternberg to read a vast array of books.
I think the B&N book read is a good jump further in the correct direction. With a removable battery I have to think is a major positive along with the rest of the points you mentioned. I'm uncertain about the full colour TFT below the main screen, seems like a bit of a distraction; though I will withhold to much comment about that until I've tried one.

I think my two main points still against E-readers currently are 1) The price. Not so much of the reader but of the books themselves and 2) I like books. I like to collect them, I like to be able to see what I have read and like to peruse friends collections when I visit. I like the whole package of a book.
I would definitely be tempted to pick up an e-reader for travel atm as it would save me logging around 4-5 different books at any given point in time, however for me I think I will still stick with paper for now .
