Collecting resource materials useful for funding, resource mobilization and the Environment Fund, including audit strategies and reports. In addition, dedicated funds (funds allocated to a project, theme, country, etc., or “dedicated”) allow us to expand and replicate our program in more countries and with more partners. Major donors include the Global Environment Fund, the Green Climate Fund and the European Commission. The overall objective of the project is to support the implementation of the GIZC protocol in the Mediterranean by developing regional mechanisms and coordination instruments to combat climate variability and climate change in the region. This goal is achieved through the implementation of four components: we are working under the auspices of the UN`s 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda to identify and address the key environmental issues of our time. Our work is made possible by partners who finance and support our mission, and we need voluntary contributions for 95% of our revenues. Around the world, we work in partnership with governments, the scientific community, the private sector, civil society and other United Nations and international organizations. We bring partners together to agree on solutions to our common environmental challenges, for example through the UN Environment Assembly. Representatives from the Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – met with the secretariat of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for two days in Nairobi in October. According to participants, the 2020 consultations between the five Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) have led to substantive and open discussions on issues such as climate change, nature and sustainable development. The expert reports on the above point: the Environment Fund is our main source of flexible funds, which form the basis of our work around the world. For example, it supports the implementation of our work programme, supported by our 193 Member States. “We had excellent discussions with our northern partners on the importance of multilateralism.
