The latest round of ideas as to how man could survive for long periods on the moon have arrived – this time, a Canadian boffin thinks using the natural caves would be a good answer the the radiation issues. It strikes me as being a rather academic concern, at least until there are some serious and concrete plans for, you know, actually getting there.

This is annoying. Sure, lava tubes may be a possibility, but we barely scratched the surface of the moon. There will most certainly be totally different phenomenon we can use. We need to explore. In the current scrotumless climate of conservatism that wont happen. Like I said, it is annoying.
I’m right with you, dagon; though I would say it’s good to know that people are at least considering scenarios, especially cheap and low-tech ones which are less likely to fail.
