  1. Yes, there’s definitely the humour of the unexpected. In “stack” languages like German or Korean you can leave the parts of all of the clauses in a sentence that tell you what they’re about till the end of the whole sentence. Sort of like “I put on and went for, walk, hat”. Those countries have “stack pop” comedy where the sentence goes on forever and, then usually after someone has done something by mistake because they didn’t wait for it, the final bits at the end completely defy your expectations.
