  1. I would argue his point the purpose of television is not to carry ads. Some stations are run that way, but not all. With public stations, public access, and many cable stations, you pay for the content, and don’t get ads.

    Thank you very much for introducing me to Rushkoff. I just ordered the book. I may not agree with everything he says but, his insights – particularly in political economy – are creative and brilliant.
