SpaceX Dragon Spacecraft
Elon Musk, former PayPal creator/owner, has the space web abuzz with his latest announcement.
Dragon, a SpaceX designed spacecraft that will be able to ride on top of the Falcon 9 rocket Musk plans to build. It can dock with the ISS, and a prototype does exist, though the prototype does not have a heat shield.
Alternate Chinese Internet
Slashdot links to an article about China’s plans to launch it’s own internet, complete with alternate root system, a blow to the idea of the global internet.
Rocketplane Owner Buys Kistler
Space.com is reporting that Rocketplane’s owner has just purchased Kistler Aerospace, a reusable orbital vehicle company. Seeing as that Rocketplane is looking more in the sub-orbital adventure tourism market, adding Kistler is an interesting twist.
