Iran plans to launch own satellite
An Iranian space launcher is assembled and ready to launch soon. If successful, it would mean Iran has Intercontinental Ballistic Missile capability. It would also allow them to launch their own spy satellites.
Earlier moon shot possible
According to Space.com, NASA may test their new capsule to the moon program with an Apollo 8 styled mission in 2015, a few years earlier than the 2020 planned missions. This would involve sending the planned Orion CEV out to the moon around and back quick.

Bigelow Aerospace has some pretty nifty photos taken from the outside of their inflatable spacecraft showing the Earth far below.
Falcon 1 delay
Former PayPal founder Elon Musk announces that his Falcon 1 rocket launch is being delayed again. The launch window for the innovative rocket is going to be mid or late February as SpaceX checks over the rocket with a fine toothcomb.
